    DR. JAGAN, HIS PEOPLE'S PROGRESSIVE PARTY (P.P.P.) WON AN OVERALL MAJORITY IN THE GENERAL ELECTION AUGUST 21, ADDED THAT BRITISH GUIANA WOULD REMAIN WITHIN THE BRITISH COMMONWEALTH TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF TRADING ARRANGEMENTS.
