Background: Talks between trade delegations of the Sudan and India opened in Delhi on Tuesday (29 August). The Sudanese delegation, led by the Minister for Economy and Trade Mr. Sayed Ibrahim Mansim Mansour, is hoping to increase the amount of goods the Sudan exports to India. Sudanese imports from India have consistently out-paced exports.
Mr. Mansour met the Indian Minister for Foreign Trade Mr. L.N. Mishra before beginning the full talks in the Indian Foreign Trade Ministry.
The talks are expected to last for almost a week.
