Background: Infantrymen of the Korean White Horse Division killed so far 137 North Vietnamese Army regulars and captured 14 since the infantrymen joined the operation named as Hong-Kil-Dong with Korean Tiger Divisions.
The operation Hong-Kil-Dong named after the hero of fiction "Hong-Kil-Dong" who was appearing anywhere at the same time to save innocent people and kill attacker, and the same tactics being used by the both division infantrymen to destroy the famous 95th Brigade of the 5th North Vietnamese Army Division based in the bloody hill Ong-Song, about 25 kms West of Tuy-Hoa in Phu-Yen Province.
This multi-divisional operation launched on the 9th of this month squeezing the Ong-Song hill by the Korean Tigers from North and the White Horse infantrymen from South-East.
More than 15,000 rounds of artillery were fired and number of air strikes were called during the operation against the enemy base in the bloody hill since the operation start.
The operation Hong-Kil-Dong being commanded by Lt. Gen. Chae Myung Shin, Commander of the Korean Forces in Vietnam.
