In the early hours of this morning (Sunday, 7th. March) a terrorist bomb shattered the Belfast office of British European Airways (B.E.A.). Extensive damage was caused, but there were no injuries. It was the second blast in six hours to hit the riot-torn city. The first had been outside a police station. In both instances British Army units were quickly on the scene with Royal Ulster Constabulary patrols.
The B.E.A. blast at least 15 nearby shops and offices with broken windows, and glass was littered over 100 yards of the city street which had been deserted.
