    IN DAR ES SALAAM -- THE OPENING MEETING OF THE AFRICAN LIBERATION COMMITTEE. ONLY ETHIOPIA WAS MISSING FROM MONDAY'S SESSION. MANY OFFICIALS OF REFUGEE POLITICAL ORGANISATIONS BASED IN DAR ES SALAAM ARE ATTENDING THE MEETING AND PLAN TO PETITION THE COMMITTEE FOR ASSISTANCE.

    OPENING SPEAKERS REFERRED TO THE NEED TO GET DOWN TO WORK AND GIVE PEOPLE IN "DOMINATED COUNTRIES" HOPE THAT NOT LONG FROM NOW ON THEY WOULD BE FREE.

    TANGANYIKA'S FOREIGN MINISTER, MR. KAMBONA, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COMMITTEE, SAID THEY WERE DEALING WITH "HIGHLY EFFICIENT REGIMES" WHICH WERE HEAVILY ARMED TO MEET A CHALLENGE.

    BUT THE ENORMOUS RESOURCES OF THE INDEPENDENT AFRICAN STATES COULD, IF WELL CO-ORDINATED, TOPPLE THE STRONGEST REGIME IN A FEW DAYS. HE SAID THE FREEDOM OF INDEPENDENT STATES WAS A MERE MOCKERY IF THEY COULD NOT DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE -- "EVEN DIE A LITTLE" -- IN ORDER TO LIBERATE THE WHOLE CONTINENT. "WE WILL NOT REST UNTIL EVERY INCH OF AFRICAN SOIL IS FREE FROM COLONIAL DOMINATION.

    THE COMMITTEE CONSISTS OF TANGANYIKA, ALGERIA, SENEGAL, UAR, CONGO, UGANDA, ETHIOPIA, NIGERIA AND GUINEA. THE COMMITTEE FIRST MET LAST JUNE AND JULY TO WORK FOR THE "LIBERATION" OF ALL AFRICA. THIS SESSION ENDS ON FRIDAY.
