A BRONZE PLAQUE COMMEMORATING ALL THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN CONCENTRATION CAMPS DURING WORLD WAR TWO TODAY (TUESDAY) WAS CONSECRATED IN THE CRYPT OF THE LONDON 'CHURCH, ST. MARTIN'S-IN-THE-FIELD. THE PLAQUE, DESIGNED AT THE REQUEST OF THE BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF NAZI CAMP SURVIVORS; IS THE ONLY MEMORIAL IN BRITAIN TO THOSE WHO DIED IN CONCENTRATION CAMPS.

IT WAS CONSECRATED BY THE ANGLICAN BISHOP OF BIRMINGHAM, THE RT. REV.O.L. WILSON, HIMSELF A FORMER PRISONER OF WAR UNDER THE JAPANESE. WITH HIM AT TODAY'S CEREMONY WAS MAJOR-GENERAL SIR COLIN GUBBINS WHO IS TO UNVEIL THE PLAQUE WHEN IT IS PLACED IN ITS PERMANENT SETTING, THE SPECIAL FORCES CLUB.
