TEN WERE SERVED WITH SUBPOENAS TO APPEAR BEFORE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES' UN-AMERICAN ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE ON SEPTEMBER 12. FORTY-FIVE OF THE 50 REFUSED FOR MORE THAN TWO HOURS TO PASS THROUGH IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES IN PROTEST AGAINST A MOVE TO CANCEL THEIR PASSPORTS.

    THE STUDENTS ARRIVED IN NEW YORK ON THURSDAY NIGHT FROM MADRID AFTER AN EIGHT-WEEK STAY IN CUBA AS THE GUESTS OF PREMIER FIDEL CASTRO.
