    Demonstration by Negroes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (90 miles southwest of New York) at the City Hall.The Negroes staged the demonstration for four hours today (24 June), as a memorial to Medgar Evers, the Negro integration leader murdered in Jackson, Mississippi.The demonstration was part of a boycott of schools, jobs and retail businesses.There were no banners, or singing.But there was a marked dropoff of Negro riders on public transportation, an increase in Negro absences from city jobs.After the protests, Negroes marched to the voter registration office nearby, in response to their leaders request to register as the best tribute to
    Evers.
