    A DISTINGUISHED SOLDIER ARRIVES TO SEE THE EXERCISE - AUSTRALIA'S GOVERNOR-GENERAL, LORD DE LISLE, WHO WON THE VICTORIA CROSS DURING THE ITALIAN CAMPAIGN OF WORLD WAR II.

    ACCOMPANIED BY OFFICERS OF THE ROYAL ULSTERS, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL VISITED THE TROOPS IN THE FIELD.

    MORE THAN SEVEN THOUSAND TROOPS ARE TAKING PART IN THE OPERATION.
