    A BOMB EXPLODED ON MONDAY AT THE MONTREAL ARMOURY OF THE ROYAL CANADIAN ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERS.

    THE EXPLOSION COMPLETELY DEMOLISHED ONE AUTOMOBILE PARKED OUTSIDE THE BUILDING AND BADLY DAMAGED TWO OTHERS.WRECKAGE WAS HURLED FOR FIFTY YARDS AND WINDOWS WITHIN SEVERAL HUNDRED YARDS WERE SHATTERED.NO ONE WAS HURT BY THE BOMB, WHICH HAD BEEN PLANTED AT THE BACK OF THE BRICK BUILDING.

    THIS WAS THE LATEST IN THE RECENT SERIES OF BOMB EXPLOSIONS ATTRIBUTED TO THE "FRONT DE LIBERATION QUEBECOIS" A SELF-STYLED TERRORIST ORGANISATION DEMANDING INDEPENDENCE FOR QUEBEC.

    LAST FRIDAY A BOMB WAS PUT IN A PILLAR BOX IN FRONT OF THE ENGINEERS' ARMOURY, BUT IT WAS DISCOVERED AND DISMANTLED BEFORE IT COULD GO OFF.
