Background: Rowland Ward's - the world's largest firm of taxidermists - have just completed their 'biggest' task so far: stuffing an elephant for the World Exhibition to be held in Brussels in April, next year.

In all, the firm are sending more than 30 animals, to stand in the exhibition Palaise - but Jumbo will take pride of place.

Ward's are busy throughout the year, executing orders for a wide variety of people running from Natural History museums, Big Game hunters --and hunters of the fox!
Apart from the scientific and skilful business of reconstructing whole animals, the firm also manufacture small items of furniture - ash trays, cigarette boxes, and so on, from hooves, antlers, etc.

Not the smallest of their problems is manoeuvring the finished elephant from the building to be specially crated. It certainly gave a beer-drinking workman a shock........
