    Six members of the 11 women international expedition to Cho Oyu - the 26,867 ft peak near Everest, arrived at Pal Airport, New Delhi, August 14 -- en route for Katmandu, Nepal.

    Me Claude Kogan of France, leader, took the girls shopping when they arrived. With thoughts far from the gruelling trek and climb ahead -- they indulged in the feminine luxuries of buying new accessories. In the party wee Claudine Van der Straaten of Belgium, Jeane France and Michinine Rambeau, France, Toloulou Boulaz from Switzerland and Eileen Healey, Britain.

    After a rest in Delhi the girls fly to Katmandu to join the rest of the party. The expedition is completed by two daughters and a niece of Sherpa Tenzing Norkay, Countess Dorothea Gravina and Margaret Darvall from Britain., Sherpa Tenzing, who with Sir Edmund Hillary, first conquered Mount Everest, is adviser to the expedition.

    The expedition has the support of Nepal's Premier, B.P. Koirala. It is due to leave Katmandu August 20 for Namche Bazar. Then 400 miles of rough country lie before the climbers. Accompanied by sherpa porters they will walk through country ranging to 14,000 feet and down 2,000 in the valleys, before reaching Cho Oyu.
