    TALKS ON A SETTLEMENT OF THE STRIKES A PARIS CAR FACTORIES APPEAR TO HAVE REACHED DEADLOCK, AND THERE IS SAID TO BE CONSIDERABLE RESISTANCE IN THE MOTOR INDUSTRY TO THE BACK-TO-BACK MOVEMENT.
