The first Trans-Pacific TV relay transmission from Japan to U.S.A. was made at 9:32 p.m. from Tokyo to Andover, Maine State, U.S.A. to be televised all over the United States. Although a couple of TV relay transmission from U.S.A. to Japan and Europe via U.S.A. were succeeded since last November, Japanese side had been trying to complete the facilities to transmit Japanese TV to U.S.A. from Juomachi, Ibaragi Prefecture, 150 miles north of Tokyo and completed recently. The main purport of this experimental telecast via pacific is that from nw on very important news shall be televised between Japan and U.S.A. and Europe by this system through tele-star and then all telephone and cable communication shall be done through tele-star by microwaves which will take only few minutes between Japan and U.S.A. and Europe, It is considered that we can dial telephone number in U.S.A in the future using telestar which was but a dream in the past.
