    In Toronto, Canada - an artist creates works of art with a blowtorch. Gerald Gladstone gives an exhibition of this new burning technique before a crowd of art lovers at the Toronto Art Gallery.

    Here he gives a practical demonstration of the metal sculpture, welding a reclining figure made of steel plates and rods.

    He has exhibited in Montreal, London, Hamilton and Winnipeg.

    A recent example of his sculpture, which has excited much interest and controversy, is a fountain piece now in the courtyard of a federal government building.

    Mister Gladstone's metal sculptures were selected for the Carnegie International Exhibition in 1958 and 1959 in Pittsburg.
