REPORTER: "The choice of four twenty-game winners picked Dave McNally, the home-run king of the majors, coming off his final year. Hoping to choke off another quick charge by the Reds ... and here comes ubiquitous Burt Robinson. Slowed down, you can see Robinson go the third ... four strides instead of playing it round the horn, and he ducked the double play with something to spare. Prangs for the second out ... McNally works the count to two-and-two. A year ago, McNally hit a World Series record home-run against the Mets Jerry Couseman. And now, another deep drive, and it's a grand slam home-run -- the first hit by a pitcher in 67 years of World Series happenings. Orioles go on to win 9-3. They're now a game away from a sweep. Is Dave McNally happy!"
