    FOUR MILLION POUNDS WORTH OF POLISH ART TREASURES WILL BE ON SHOW IN LONDON NEXT JANUARY FOR AN EXHIBITION ENTITLED "1,000 YEARS OF ART IN POLAND". THE WORKS OF ART WERE INSTALLED IN THE ROYAL ACADEMY OF ARTS TODAY (FRIDAY).

    THE TREASURES, WHICH REPRESENT A LARGE SLICE OF POLAND'S NATIONAL HERITAGE FROM THE 11TH TO THE 20TH CENTURIES, GO ON SHOW FROM JANUARY 3 TO MARCH 1, 1970.

    PRESENT TO SEE THE TREASURES SET UP IN THE ROYAL ACADEMY WERE THE DIRECTOR OF THE ROYAL ACADEMY, SIR THOMAS MONNINGTON, AND THE DIRECTOR OF THE CRACOW MUSEUM, DR. BAMACH.

    THE DISPLAY INCLUDES MEDIEVAL SCULPTURE, 16TH AND 17TH CENTURY TAPESTRIES, AND MANY PAINTINGS AS WELL AS PIECES OF FURNITURE, GLASS, PORCELAINE AND ARMOUR.

    ELABORATE SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN TAKEN BOTH DURING THE TRIP TO LONDON, AND IN THE ROYAL ACADEMY ITSELF.
