TRANSCRIPT: SEQ. 7: MARCHER: "WE WERE RECEIVED IN TO THE EMBASSY BY MR ROMANOF WHO IS A THIRD SECRETARY AT THE EMBASSY. WE ASKED HIM HIS FIRST NAME, BUT HE INFORMED US THAT FOR OFFICIAL PURPOSE, ONLY THE SURNAME WAS USED. HE SAID THAT UNFORTUNATELY IT'S BEEN NOT A BUSY SUNDAY TODAY, ALL HIGH RANKING OFFICIALS WERE AWAY FROM THE EMBASSY. THAT IS TO SAY, COUNCILLORS AND FIRST SECRETARIES, AND THAT HE BEING A THIRD SECRETARY WOULD RECEIVE THE MEMORANDUM, AND THAT WE COULD BE ASSURED THAT ITS CONTENTS WOULD BE TRANSMITTED TO MR KOSYGIN. WE THEN SAID THAT WE WISHED A PLEASANT RETURN JOURNEY TO MOSCOW TO MR KOSYGIN. AND THAT'S THAT ANSWER."
