    A series of bomb explosions ripped through the Cypriot city of Limassol today (Friday), wrecking the central police station, a petrol station, and a club said to belong to supporters of the former EOKA leader General George Grivas. Several adjoining buildings - including a school - were also badly damaged.

    Limassol is the centre of police operations aimed at crushing the illegal underground groups said to be organised by General Grivas and his followers to fight the Government of Archbishop Makarios and seek immediate union with Greece.

    In today's explosions, the worst damage was caused to the armoury of the police station - where thirteen people were injured, nine of them policemen, three national guardsmen and a fireman.

    Only the previous day (Thursday), eleven men were remended in custody after a fierce ??? in the ??? Village ??? of ??? on Wednesday - as the ??? ??? are believed to have been planted in repriced for the arrests.
