  • Description

General George H. Decker, United Nations C. in C. in Korea, declared today "Any future supplies and equipment arriving in Korea for United States Forces will be made available to South Korean units as well."
Jubilant South Korean military leaders were interpreting this to mean that their troops would soon be sharing the latest America arms, including atomic weapons and guided missiles.

President Syngman Rhee beamed approval, spectators reported. With the General, The President was inspecting joint winter manoeuvres by United States and South Korean forces.

President Rhee has been agitating ever since the Korean armistice for replacement by modern equipment of the obsolescent armament used by the United Nations forces against the Communists.
