U.S. Vice President Lyndon Johnson, on a tour of Asian countries, arrived in the British Crown Colony of Hongkong after visits to Saigon and Manila May 14.
He was received at the Airport by the Governor of Hongkong Sir Robert Black. At a brief ceremony, Mr. Johnson spoke on the purpose of his mission...helping Asians preserve their freedom, building economic strength and guarding against communism.
Mr. Johnson later will visit Bangkok, Delhi and Karachi. At the Airport Mr. Johnson presented Sir Robert with a book by President Kennedy.
