Background: Brazilian Foreign Minister Mario Gibson Barboza - currently on tour of West African - is in Nigeria for four days (November 15-19). On the second day (Thursday) of his stay in Lagos, he was received by Head of State General Yakubu Gowon at his residence in Dodan Barracks.
Following the meeting with General Gowon, the Brazilian statesman had a meeting with the Nigerian Federal Information Commissioner, Chief Anthony Enahoro - with whom he signed an agreement aimed at increasing cultural contacts between Brazil and Nigeria.
Senhor Gibson Barboza - at the head of a 25-man delegation - is also visiting other important provincial centres of Nigeria.
