Last year's economy champ, the Plymouth Valiant continues as a true compact with improved fuel economy on all engines. The new models have a fresh appearance from any angle. Up front a divided grille sports a fine mesh pattern, outlined by a bright metal molding. Sculptured body lines have been retained. At the rear, back-up and tail lights have been stacked vertically.
Eight Valiant models are available with a choice of six cylinder or V-8 engines in the 100 and Signet series. Plymouth's sports car model is the Barracuda. Barracuda covers the sporty car market with three body styles--the hardtop coupe, convertible coupe, and the sport fastback. The new rear end treatment features clear horse shoe-shaped tail lights.
Rectangular "rally lights" are set in the split grille. Barracuda offers four power plants, including a new 340 cubic inch performance engine. All are covered by Chrysler's five year, fifty thousand mile warranty for 1968.
