  • Description

A new re-education centre for handicapped children was opened in Yaounde on Saturday (15 January) by President Ahmadou Ahidjo. The centre was first planned by Cardinal Paul Emile Leger a famous Canadian churchman who was guest of honour. Nearly 200 Canadians including prominent government Ministers attended the ceremony. One of the speakers, the Archbishop of Cameroun, Monsignor Jean Zoa, recalled that the centre had been established with the help of Canadians, Frenchmen, Germans, and Italians. It will soon cater for 550 children....150 of them living in....and comprises 13 buildings. We apologise that this coverage is available only in Black and White.
