    THE KUWAIT FOREIGN MINISTER AND ACTING MINISTER OF FINANCE AND OIL, SHEIKH SABAH AL-AHMED AL-SABAH, WAS ELECTED THE CONFERENCE CHAIRMAN.

    MINISTERIAL DELEGATES ATTENDED FROM THE EIGHT MEMBER NATIONS - IRAQ, KUWAIT, SAUDI ARABIA, LIBYA, IRAN, QATAR, INDONESIA AND VENEZUELA. ALGERIA, NIGERIA AND COLOMBIA WERE SCHEDULED TO ATTEND AS OBSERVERS.

    AMONG ITEMS ON THE AGENDA FOR THE SIX-DAY CONFERENCE IS THE QUESTION OF ELIMINATING DISCOUNT TO OIL COMPANIES ON POSTED PRICES, AND THE GENERAL QUESTION OF INCREASED PRODUCTION.

    THE LAST OPEC MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN VIENNA IN APRIL.
