    THE RELIGIOUS SERVICES WERE HELD AT THE ANGELICAN CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL AND THE CENTRAL MOSQUE. BISHOP KALE OF LAGOS CONDUCTED THE ANGLICAN SERVICE. BOTH SERVICES WERE ATTENDED BY REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ARMED FORCES, INCLUDING COMMODORE JOSEPH WEY, HEAD OF THE NIGERIAN NAVY.

    LATER AT THE WAR MEMORIAL COMMODORE WEY JOINED THE OBA IN LAYING A WREATH. HE ALSO INSPECTED THE GUARD OF HONOUR WHICH LATER MARCHED PAST IN A SALUTE TO THE MEN OF NIGERIA WHO DIED ON ACTIVE SERVICE.
