    TRANSCRIPT:

COMMENTARY: "This bout is Lyle's last before the fight. Lyle is 33, and if he loses to Ali, as the odds makers figure he will, Lyle probably would not get another title shot. Despite ;the pressure, Lyle has been relaxed in training. Trainers Bobby Lewis and Chickie Ferrera have been relaxed too, they say as far as they're concerned, it's just another fight."

FERRERA: "There is nothing for us to worry about, he is in great condition. He couldn't be in better shape. He's ready, willingly, mentally and in every way. He's just ready, and he's waiting for that bell."

LYLE: "I don't feel no different about this than I did about the first one I had, you know, it's just a matter of getting your feet off the ground. First you get your feet off the ground, then you go through the necessary changes, getting your feet wet, getting the experience, getting the confidence in your abilities, and in your (INDISTINCT) and once you do that then everything else, man, is just, like, even, you know."

REPORTER: "Lyle's are three to one hundred odds for the nationally televised bout. Ali says he'll win--and it might not take that long. Lyle may not be the most formidable opponent for Ali, but he appears to be the calmest. This is Charles Amundson reporting."

Background: Ron Lyle the U.S. boxer who will challenge Muhmmed Ali in a heavyweight championship bout on Friday (16 May), is in the final stages of his training sessions.

Lyle lost his last fight--in January--to an unranked fighter and observers are not sure he can go the 15-round distance in the bout with Ali.

His trainers, Bobby Lewis and Chickie Ferrera say he's ready for the fight, and Lyle thinks he can make the distance. But the odds are against him, and ali believes he can win the nationally televised ;fight in eight rounds.
