Background: In London on Friday (4 June) a member of the Royal Artillery motor cycle display team set a world record -- risking the lives of his team members to do it. As a large crowd looked on, thirty-six members of the display team lined up on the ground. Sergeant Major Gledhill raced his motor cycle towards a small ramp in front of them, and leaped over the line of men. Not satisfied with a world record of thirty-six men, he called in five more to increase the distance.

The previous record of thirty-four men was set two years ago.
