    PRESIDENTS WILLIAM TUBMAN OF LIBERIA AND SEKOU TOURE OF GUINEA RECENTLY HAD TALKS AT THE REMOTE GUINEAN TOWN OF NZEREKORE, ON A WIDE RANGE OF BILATERAL AND INTER-AFRICAN PROBLEMS. PRESIDENT TUBMAN WAS WELCOMED TO GUINEA BY PRESIDENT SEKOU TOURE, AT A SMALL BRIDGE WITH CROSSES THEIR COMMON FRONTIER.

    AFTER MEETING ON THE BRIDGE THE TWO MEN DROVE TOGETHER TO NZEREKORE, WHERE THEY WERE GREETED BY MOST OF THE TOWN'S POPULATION OF 20,000. PRESIDENT TUBMAN RECEIVED A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS, AND WAS FLANKED DURING OFFICIAL CEREMONIES IN THE TOWN SQUARE BY A GUARD OF HONOUR.

    THE TWO PRESIDENTS HAD INFORMAL TALKS THAT EVENING, AND FORMAL DISCUSSIONS BEGAN AT MID-MORNING THE FOLLOWING DAY. DURING THEIR TALKS THE PRESIDENTS AGREED THAT THERE SHOULD BE NO RESTRICTIONS ON THE MOVEMENT ON THEIR NATIONALS ACROSS THEIR FRONTIERS.

    THE TWO LEADERS ANNOUNCED THE MOVE IN A JOINT COMMINIQUE. THE COMMUNIQUE SAID PRESIDENT TUBMAN HAD CONGRATULATED PRESIDENT SEKOU TOURE ON HIS DECISION TO RESUME DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH GREAT BRITAIN AND FRANCE, AND TO MAINTAIN GOOD RELATIONS WITH ALL AFRICAN STATES.

    THE COMMUNIQUE ALSO SAID M. TOURE HAD TAKEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISCUSS THE POSSIBILITY OF WEST AFRICAN REGIONAL CO-OPERATION.
