  • Description

Li Hiun Li Cooperative Farm is 18 kilometres to the northeast of Pyongyong.

Frequent droughts before liberation had reduced the peasants to extreme poverty. The government of the Korean Democratic People's Republic undertook gigantic works of water conservancy after liberation and a powerful system of electric pumping station is now in operation. Li Hiun Li Cooperative Farm has 12,000 mu of land under cultivation of which half has already been transformed into paddy fields.

Field management is being constantly improved to increase the yield of grain crops.

Her name is Li Shin Ja, one of the heads of the farm, a good propaganda worker and also a labour hero. She is often seen reading newspapers to the farm's workers during rest intervals, informing them on current events both of at home and abroad. Many new houses have been built in Li Hiun Li Cooperative Farm. The farm also has its nursery where the children are well taken care of.

The farm has 500 households. A life of plenty is provided for every home.

Yet, the members of Li Hiun Li Cooperative Farm are not complacent about the good times; following Premier Kim ll Sung's directive, they will create an even greater abundance and happiness with their own diligent hands.
