Families of all the ranks of the Pakistan Army, East Pakistan civil armed forces, and forces working under the operational control of the Army have been told that they are entitled to a number of special benefits. To apply for these benefits, many families of Armed forces members have been registering at the General Headquarters Building in Rawalpindi. SYNOPSIS: At the Army General Headquarters Building in Rawalpindi on Monday, members of Armed Force families gathered to fill out applications which will make them eligible for special benefit entitlement. (PAUSE) Among those applying are families of all ranks of the Pakistan Army, East Pakistan civil armed forces, and forces working under the operational control of the Army in both East and West Pakistan.

In the case of families of officers benefit payments will be made by cheque but, like these here, families of other ranks must apply to regimental centres for their money orders. (PAUSE) Additional benefits are to be given to families of those soldiers who have been killed, wounded, taken prisoners, who are missing or presumed killed.
