On Monday, October 15, 1962, the General Theological Seminary will confer the honorary degree of Doctor of Sacred Theology on the Most Reverend and Right Honourable Arthur Michael Ramsey, Archbishop of Canterbury. The degree will be awarded at Evensong at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, at which time the Archbishop will preach. Following the service a dinner will be held in the Seminary refectory to be attended by trustees, faculty and the student body and presided over by the Bishop of New York, the Right Reverend Horace W. B. Donegan, S.T.D.

In the afternoon the Archbishop will meet in informal conference with the Seminary's faculty to discuss problems of theological education in Great Britain and the United States. Negotiations are in progress for an interchange of theological students between the two countries.
