POLICEMAN: "I don't have to spell out the dangers from bombs. Here's how the public can help us and themselves. If you find an unattended package or bag, whatever you do, don't touch It. And don't pull the red emergency handle between stations. Pull the handle once the train has stopped at the station. Tell London Transport staff immediately; Tell the other passengers to leave the train; Then get right way from it. We'll do the rest".

Background: Strict security measures have been launched in London by the police and London Transport authority, following the recent bombing on the capital's public transport system.

There have been three bombings in the past two weeks. Following an explosion, a train driver was shot dead by an alleged bomber.

For three days this month, 1,000 policemen, some of the armed, travelled on the London Underground in a major effort to foil the attack.

The bombing have been attributed to a group of the Provisional Wing of the illegal Irish Republican Army (I.R.A.). The Police have said that the explosive devices were of the same type as those used in previous bombings.

People now have their baggage searched when travelling on the public transport system. Some London hotels and restaurants have sandbagged their windows - a sight not seen since the second world war.

Police have had some success in their attempts to curb the bombings. In the past week, they have discovered two 'bomb factories' in London. They are also holding two men - victims of so-called 'own goals' premature explosions where the bomber is injured-for questioning.

Since the beginnings of the terrorist campaign on the British mainland in 1972, 23 people have been killed over and 1,000 injured.

This film is serviced with part of a British television security commercial. It includes a commentary in English speech a transcript of which appears on the next page. It also includes speech by a British policeman, a transcript of which appears below:
