PS: We were the only ones to accompany Sir Roger at Cephalonia, as, in view of the Cyprus dispute, no other Agency expressed the will to cover the subject. Therefore it's exclusive. The inauguration of the Orphanage took place on Tuesday, but there is only once a week sea communication with the Island and that is why we are late.

Background: Here is another sign of british noblemindness: the rebuilding and inauguration of the "Sotir" Orphanage of Argostoli (Cephalonia), financed from the Relief Fund raised by voluntary contribution in the United Kingdom and Malta. This Orphanage replaces the one destroyed by the 1953 earthquake. The financing of the whole project was going on and terminated lately inspite the fact that the greco-british relations are in their worst point due to the Cyprus dispute. The British Ambassador to Greece Sir Roger Allen and Lady Allen visited Argostoli and attended at the official inaugural ceremony of the opening of the "Sotir" Orphanage.
