    Shipbuilding, machine tools, rolling mills and steam turbines are among the items to be discussed during Czechoslovak Engineering Week which opened in London on Monday (15 November).

    Speakers and guests gathered around photographs portraying the subjects of lectures to be given this week at the Czechoslovak Embassy. The week is being sponsored by the London and Czechoslovak Chambers of Commerce.

    SYNOPSIS: The best of Czechoslovak engineering came to London on Monday with the start of a week-long series of technical lectures
    The speakers -- Czechoslovak specialists on a wide spectrum of engineering fields. The subjects -- shipbuilding, machine-tool manufacture, rolling mills, die-casting, steam turbines, and industrial management.

    Sponsors for the week -- which is being held at the Czechoslovak Embassy -- are the London and Czechoslovak Chambers of Commerce. Along with other leading officials from both countries, Czechoslovakia's Deputy Federal Minister of Foreign Trade inspected photographs illustrating this week's topics of discussion. The engineering week ends on Friday.
