Background: Zambian President Kenneth Kaunda was warmly received in Zaire on Sunday (February 16), when he arrived for two days of talks with Zaire President Mobutu Sese Seko.
The visit was described as one of routine consultation. But at the airport, President Kaunda commented on the real purpose, declaring: "We live in a truly revolutionary age which demands true co-operation between our separate revolutions."
His visit, he said, would further strengthen links already forged between the Zaire and Zambian revolutions.
Asked about the Rhodesian situation, President Kaunda refused to comment other than to say that he proposed to discuss the situation with President Mobutu.
