  • Description

Negotiators from East and East Germany met in East Berlin on Thursday (14th October) for the second successive day, to resume talks on implementing the four power Berlin Agreement.

Bonn's special envoy, Herr Egon Bahr, broke with precedent to stay overnight in East Berlin after Wednesday's session...which had lasted most of the day. The four powers...the United States, Soviet Union, Britain, and France...have given the Germans the task of working out the technical details of the agreement signed on 3 September. Herr Bahr and his East German negotiating partner, State Secreta Michael Kohl, are also discussing an overall traffic agreement between the two German States.
