    The reconnaissance version of the Phantom II touches down at Aleenbury Royal Air Force Station, England, to be the first RF-4C to join the U.S.Air Forces Europe.The commander of the 10th Reconnaissance Wing who piloted this mock 2 aircraft from the United States called it "a significant day for the 10th Wing and for NATO."
    Field Training Detachments were here before the RF-4 arrives...beginning the transition training of former air crews and familiarizing maintenance personnel with the peculiarities of the advanced reconnaissance system.

    These Air Training Command men will re-train about 400 10th Wing maintenance personnel in England and will keep pace with the delivery of RF-4s to the Wing.

    The RF-4 in Europe...another step in modernizing the finest Tactical Force in the world.
