Ahmed Nasser Eritrean Liberation Front (ELF) speaking in English. (2 SHOTS)
NASSER:"The result of these discussion or dialogue with the E.P.L.F. (Eritrean Popular Liberation Front) we've agreed to adopt one strategy in Eritrea for the first time. Military strategy ...one military strategy...to be accentuated by all Liberation forces. Not as E.P.L.F. or E.L.F. (Eritrean Liberation Front). And tactically now there are joint fightings in (INDISTINCT) the remotest part of northern Eritrea, and also any military activities are related tot he whole strategy adopted in March. Moreover there are other things such as social, economic and information fields in which we are quite coordinated...in order to create good ground for the whole integration of neutral conditions. We are for a peaceful settlement. We are for negotiations without pre-conditions for either side. However we are not afraid of the concentration of ninety and a hundred thousand soldiers, military unit equipped with sophisticated weapons, because, for a simple reason, our people wholly support the revolution...Our people are wholly prepared to fight for our national goal. Our people are hard-worked and have experienced a lot in our ten years of our political and our military struggle. But what we have been saying is that principally we are not against Ethiopian people, but we are ready to face any chauvinistic, any illogical policies. That is, if by violence they want to crush the revolution, as they say to us. But we think that it is a dream to think that the Eritrean revolution can be liquidated by the Ethiopian. We are so innumerable in numbers of soldiers. They govern the borders of Eritrea. I think it is a dream. But still we are no against this revolution, we are not against negotiations without pre-conditions from either side. And moreover we think that by settling the Eritrean question, by giving the Eritrean people their nation, they can allocate what they are allocation towards the war in Eritrea for the developments, social and economical developments like Ethiopia.
