Background: The Prime Minister of India, Dr. Lal Bakhadur Shastri, and his party, who have arrived in the Soviet Union at the invitation of the Soviet government, yesterday visited the Lenin Mausoleum and laid a wreath with an inscription saying: "To freat Lenin -a true friend of India of the Prime Minister of India".
The ceremony was attended by Soviet deputy foreign minister Mr. Firyubin, foreign ministry top officials Likhachov, Molochkov, the Commandant of the Moscow Kremlin Vedenin and the ambassador of the Republic of India in the Soviet Union Mr. Triloki Natkh Kaul.
Next the distinguished guest and his party walked along the Kremlin wall in which outstanding communist movement leaders are buried.
The Soviet Prime Minister Mr. Alexei Kosyghin had a talk with India's Prime Minister Dr. Lal Bakhadur Shastri in the Kremlin yesterday.
The talk was attended on the Soviet side by deputy-premier Shelepin, foreign trade minister Patolichev, chairman of the State Committee for foreign economic relations Skachkov and other persons.
On the Indian side the talk was attended by foreign minister Swaran Singkh and other persons.
The sides had singers exchange of opinions on the further advance of the Soviet-Indian relations and other urgent world issues.
