Background: The long due Indo-Pakistan talks on financial matters began on the ministerial level when the Pakistan Finance Minister Mr. M. Shoib arrived here today. He was received at the airport by his Indian counterpart Mr. Morarji Desai. Two hours after his arrival, talks began in Morarji's office. Earlier on 26th July, a delegation of Pakistani Finance experts headed by Mr. H.A.Majid, secretary Pakistan Finance Ministry They were received at the airport by the Indian Secretary of Fiance Ministry, Mr. A.K.Roy. They have since then being carrying on financial deliberations.
