  • Description

Toys donated by the crews of a United States airforce squadron were given to children in an Amman hospital last week.

The 47th Tactical airlift squadron had been ferrying medical supplies to Jordan when an officer in the force visited a hospital near Amman called Fig Hill. Crew members rallied round to buy toys after hearing of the children in the hospital and United States personnel in Amman handed them over.

There were cries of delight from the children as the toys including dolls, colouring books and crayons, models and cars, were given to them.

Unfortunately, the crewmen who had bought the toys, were unable to be present for the happy scene as they were occupied keeping the airlift of medical supplies going.
