    The first photographs of Britain's new royal baby, Prince Andrew .. filmed at Buckingham Palace Mar 22. Cecil Beaton, the Court photographer, took 200 photographs in an hour in the Music Room at the Palace. The Queen made the choice for publication:
    1. The Queen holding the baby Prince, with the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles and Princess Anne. The Queen wears a red silk dress, a four string pearl necklace and diamond and pearl earrings. The baby, born Feb 19, wore a long robe of white lace.

    2. The Queen with Prince Andrew - the name of Scotland's patron saint. His chin rests on one chubby arm. The Queen's hand is poised ready to support him. The Prince has blue eyes.

    3. & 4.The Prince makes a steady in serenity. Across the eyes and nose he resembles George V, his great-grandfather.
