Background: The Polish minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. RAPACKI paid an official visit to-day to the Belgian city of Ghent which is one of the oldest historic cities of the Flanders. Mr. Rapacki was received at the palace of the governor by Mr. DE KINDERE, governor of the province of East Flanders. A visit of the historic monuments of the city was scheduled and among these the famous Cathedral of St. BAVON where the minister admired the paintings of the illustrious Flemish painters. The visit, however, had to be shortened die to the very bad weather.
