    A North Korean delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Zon Myong, has been holding talks with Ugandan Government officials during a five-day official visit.

    The three-man delegation, which also delivered a personal message from the North Korean leader to Ugandan President Idi Amin, left for home on Thursday (10 May). Officials from the Embassy of The People's Republic of China joined Ugandan officials for the departure ceremonies at Entebbe Airport.

    SYNOPSIS: At Kampala's Entebbe Airport on Thursday, a North Korean delegation was seen off by Ugandan officials at the end of a formal visit to the Central African state. The visitors had held five days of talks with Government officials.

    Staff from the Embassy of The People's Republic of China in Kampala were also present to farewell the visitors. The North Korean delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Zon Mynog, called on Ugandan President, Idi Amin, during their stay and delivered a personal message from the North Korean leader. The talks, which were described as "successful", centred on issues of common interest to both countries.
