    An emotional moment in the parade occurred when a woman and her daughter stepped forward to present a bouquet of flowers to an army captain. The woman's husband and three other children were killed and cruelly mutilated by African terrorists in northern Angola.

    About 3,400 more troops a left Lisbon May 5 for Angola aboard the liner 'Vera Cruz'. Their equipment and military vehicles were carried aboard freighters. On their arrival, they will combine with troops already in Angola in a widespread land and air offensive against the terrorists. As a preliminary, Portuguese Air Force planes are attacking suspected African villages, and security forces are reporting successes in their drive. The main offensive is due to start next month, when the dry season begins.
