Background: Despite the bloodless coup which ousted Cambodia's Prince Sihanouk on Thursday, official portraits of the deposed head of state were still hanging in Cambodia's London Embassy yesterday (Friday).

Accompanied by his wife, the Prince was in Moscow at the time of the coup. He followed his original schedule and flew to Peking for talks.

There have been no reports from Cambodia of pro-Sihanouk demonstrations or of counter-demonstrations against new head of state Cheng Heng.
