  • Description

German inventor and industrialist, Johan Ludowici, has designed and produced a 'revolutionary' new house - spherical in shape! The Round House is 13 feet high, 15 feet wide and can be picked up by helicopter, buried or towed through water with no ill effects.

Building experts from all over the world have travelled to Jockgrim-Pfalz, near Frankfort, to study the new houses. They find a 'Sputnik-like' object which affords cosy accommodation with a bed-sitting room, bathroom and kitchen, and which costs (unfurnished) about 2425 in Germany.

To prove how well the Round House floats, one of them is being towed up the Thames in February, on route to London's Ideal Home Exhibition.

The kitchen of the round house has every convenience to be found in the average modern flat; the bed-sitting room finds space for two curved divans a folding table, bookshelves and wardrobe, etc and the tiny bathroom has a bath, shower, wash-basin and toilet.
