Background: The Northern Ireland capital, Belfast was last night rocked by its sixth successive night of violence. Troops came under fire and were also attacked with bombs as they patrolled the streets. The attack on the soldiers followed the death of a five-year-old girl after she was run over by an armoured vehicle.
