More than 1,500 demonstrators staged a rowdy protest today (Sunday) outside the Polish Embassy in London. The demonstration was against last week's disorders in Polish Baltic cities. The disorders followed a sharp increase in food prices in Poland.

A mock tank was driven along the street, parodying the force used to quell the Polish disturbances. At lest twenty people were killed.

The demonstrators, including man exiles from Poland, pinned a nine-point declaration tot he embassy door. The declaration attacked the alleged maltreatment of workers int he Baltic cities, and called for economic reforms and political freedom. A number of demonstrators were detained by police who formed a strong guard around the embassy.
